Emily's heart raced as she stepped into the elevator, her stiletto heels clicking against the polished floor. The walls were mirrored, reflecting her nervousness back at her. She adjusted her dress self-consciously, pulling at the hem to hide the butterflies in her stomach. The elevator doors opened, revealing a lavish office filled with powerful men and women dressed to impress. Emily swallowed hard, feeling completely out of place amongst these giants. She approached the hostess, who directed her to a table in the corner. As she walked, she could feel every pair of eyes on her, weighing her up. She took a seat, her legs shaking under the massive oak table. A server appeared out of nowhere, offering her a glass of champagne. Emily accepted gratefully, taking a sip to calm her nerves. Suddenly, the room fell silent, and all eyes turned towards the front of the room. The CEO, a towering figure in both stature and presence, took his place at the head of the table. Emily felt a wave of intimidation wash over her as she realized just how small she truly was in this world of giants.
